Gres Aragón-Faveker’s Participation in the “Young Employment” Event

On November 16, 2022, Gres Aragón-Faveker took part in an in-person meeting for the Bajo Aragón Histórico region focused on “young employment.” This event served as a meeting point for employers seeking workers and for job seekers in the province of Teruel. During the day, a networking space was created where beneficiaries of the PICE program could connect with the local business community through face-to-face interviews. Events like this facilitate the establishment of employment relationships between companies looking to fill vacancies and job seekers.

The PICE program (Integral Qualification and Employment Program) by the Chambers of Commerce, co-financed by the European Social Fund, is an initiative of the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Social Security aligned with the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Strategy. It aims to improve young people’s career prospects, help them find job opportunities or enhance employability, provide better career guidance, and expand their professional networks.

The meeting took place at the Municipal Theater of Alcañiz, where numerous companies from the province of Teruel set up information stands for young locals seeking opportunities in the workforce.

The event began with various interesting talks and workshops that could be followed via streaming from the Chamber of Commerce of Teruel’s auditorium. Each participating company presented itself to the attendees, explaining their focus, human resources policies, and the job positions they were looking to fill. Afterwards, the young attendees had the opportunity to meet these companies firsthand at their stands.

Thanks to the organizing entities and participating companies, events like this can be held to continue fostering connections within the labor market and support the integration of new generations into the workforce.
