PhD building in Santander’s university

The rehabilitation of the Santander University Doctorate School had to keep the characteristic image and tonality of the building, improving its energy efficiency and solving the problems that the façade had suffered over time. FAVEKER® GA16 ceramic tiles in Salmon color comply with the requirements, adding protection against moisture thanks to the system’s overlap joint, avoiding this way moisture, fungus and problems with other microorganisms on surface due to its perfect sealing while firing at 1.200 C. The FTS 502B fixing system, which is approved by ETA certificate, was installed using vertical profiles and double clips. This system is registrable, since it is possible to assemble and disassemble any single piece in any part without dismantling or breaking any other pieces within the system, which is very useful when any maintenance or installation works are needed behind the building’s skin.
